COVID-19: Two more test positive, 6 recover in Kupwara, tally jumps to 27 | KNO

Kupwara, Apr 20 (KNO): The total number is positive cases in north Kashmir's Kupwara district has gone up to 27 with two new cases on Monday while six COVID positive patients have also recovered.

Officials told News Agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that six patients from Kupwara have recovered while it reported two more positive cases on Monday. Officials said that patients who were admitted to outside district have recovered and discharged with six recoveries a single day, but it also reported two more positive cases on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg told KNO that two more positive patients from red zone Anderhama both contacts of earlier positive patient, however six patients have recovered and total number of active cases is now 27 for Kupwara. In order to ensure effective containment, strict restrictions on any outdoor movement shall continue to be in place till 3rd May.

“Grateful for the cooperation extended by the people in maintaining effective lockdown,” he said. As per the daily bulletin issued by district administration a total number of 33 people have tested captive for coronavirus, while 6 have recovered so far with no death, 591 people tested negative besides that 149 sample results are awaited—(KNO)
